Juan Fuentes: “I’m a Chicano artist living and working in the Bayview since 1990. I grew up in the Monterrey/Salinas area working with my family in the fields and know the hardships faced by these workers. We moved to the South East SF community almost 30 years ago. We helped to transform our block as the Model Block. Greening the block and changing the nature of the block, but at the same time we got to know all our neighbors.“
