Ada Chen, artist and jeweler, explores Chinese American and Asian American identity through her work.  She says: “My ultimate goal is to integrate my love of craft and my concern for BIPOC well-being.” In her jewelry, she’s riffed on gold stars for good behavior, Made in China stickers, the Hot Chitos chips logo, firecrackers and moon cakes. Chen is also an accomplished painter and textile artist. Her family home is in Visitacion Valley in San Francisco and she currently lives in New York City.
