Born in Senegal, Charles Dabo follows the path of traditional West African Artists, adding a new dimension to the aesthetic and forms inherited from his predecessors. Each painting with an African theme is a geometrical projection of the metaphorical figures Charles has developed over the years. Dabo, trained as a museum conservationist, has also taught art and Spanish throughout the Bay Area. He recently completed a mural commission on San Bruno Avenue in the Portola District. Dabo has lived in the Portola with his family since 1995.
